Valerie Margulis is an experienced finance professional with 25 years' experience in the real estate industry. Her firm, VLM Consulting, provides financial management and analysis services to Seattle businesses with a focus on real estate companies.
Valerie has worked for several of the Seattle area's most prominent real estate developers and investors including Vulcan, Inc., where she was the Director of Real Estate Finance, and Wright Runstad, where she was a board member and Vice President of Finance and Administration. In 1992, she co-founded the Seneca Group, a firm that provides comprehensive real estate advisory, development and management services for public and private sector clients throughout the Northwest. As CFO for Stellar International, she helped establish real estate development businesses in Stockholm and Warsaw. She has done significant real estate financial work for the City of Seattle and Swedish Medical Center, and has worked as interim CFO for several companies.
Valerie started her career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche. She has a degree in French from University of Washington, and received her CPA certificate in 1977.
